For most of the first half Dublin dominated possession, winning most of the play with Diarmuid Connolly and Dean Rock running the show. But Cluxton gave Kerry a lifetime when he left his line wide open and allowed Darren O’ Sullivan in for a goal. This rattled Cluxton and when a long ball was once again put in, Cluxton miss hit the ball ended up putting it into his own net. Kerry then rattle and put over several points. Kerry were in the lead by 5 points at half time on a scorline of 2-08 to 0-9.

In the second half Dublin came out all guns blazing and showed composure throughout the second half. Kerry though lost two important players in Darren O Sullivan and Kieran Donghy who contributed massively in the first half. Dublin outscored The Kingdom by kicking 13 points to Kerry’s 5. Kerry kept themselves in it and matched the Dubs man to man but the turn overs proved costly in attack and Dublins fitness prevailed. Dublin are proving that they are the best footbal side in the last 30 years as they came back into the game without panicking.

They will face Mayo in the final on the third Sunday in September.
