Attackers detonate explosives outside Brussels Institute of Criminology after ramming through site’s gates in their car
A BOMB has rocked Brussels and at least two attackers are on the run after targeting the city’s Institute of Criminology.
A car rammed through the site’s barriers at roughly 3am before at least one bomber detonated the device.
Belgium’s state broadcaster has said at least two people were inside the vehicle.
One of them is said to have got out and scaled a ladder before throwing an explosive at the institute’s laboratories.
The two alleged bombers are then said to have torched their car.

A fire tore through the labs and blasted out the windows but no injuries have been reported.
It is also unclear where the bombers are and whether or not it is being treated as a terror attack.
Nobody has claimed responsibility for the bombings.
The institute is in the city’s Neder-Over-Hembeek suburb and advisers there assist Belgium’s justice authorities.
Eyewitnesses have reported seeing thick black smoke coming from the building before roughly fire fighters descended on the scene.
Fire service spokesperson Pierre Meys said: “It was probably not accidental.
“The explosion was extremely powerful.
“Windows of the labs were blown out dozens of metres away.”
The attack killed 32 people.
The horrific bombings were claimed by ISIS.
